The Transformation of ENOC Stations: An In-depth Examination of Joseph General Maintenance's Wing Canopy Project

This case study showcases our role in the Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab project, a testament to our team's capabilities in scaling our services and accommodating diverse BIM needs. Starting with a small drywall package, we gradually expanded our scope, providing BIM modeling services for a multitude of elements including architecture, structure, interior design, and joinery for both the main contractor and multiple subcontractors.

Introduction

Joseph General Maintenance (JGM), a renowned provider of comprehensive maintenance and retrofit services, has established a reputation for excellence through a multitude of successful projects. Among these stands the Wing Canopy Project undertaken for Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC), a significant milestone in their portfolio. Initiated on February 28, 2023, and concluding by the end of May the same year, this project signifies JGM's ability to handle large-scale operations within tight timeframes, while ensuring exceptional quality in their deliverables.

Project Scope and Comprehensive Overview

The Wing Canopy Project was a massive operation that saw significant transformations across 15 ENOC sites. The selected sites, ENOC 1002, 1005, 1006, 1009, 1016, 1019, 1027, 1028, 1030, 1034, 1036, 1040, 1041, 1050, and 1051, each came with unique demands and challenges. The ability to deliver consistent results across varied conditions showcased JGM's resilience and adaptability, further emphasizing their unmatched proficiency in their domain.

The Revamping of Existing Signages

An integral part of the project involved the overhaul of existing signages, which encompassed the C Store Building Signage Fascia, Forecourt Canopy Signage Fascia, Pylon Sign, and Zoom Lightbox of C-store Entry and Exit Sign. JGM started this transformation by removing and disposing of all electrical fittings from the existing signage isolator on the signages. Their teams ensured the removal was done safely and efficiently, minimizing any risk of damage to the surrounding infrastructure. This process demonstrated JGM's meticulous attention to detail and their commitment to uphold safety standards.

LED Retrofit and Comprehensive Signage Replacement

In addition to overhauling the existing signages, the project also entailed the replacement of LED lighting as per the tender specification for the given signages. JGM made use of premium-quality LED lights, which met the high-quality standards set by the project. The LED retrofitting process was a crucial element of the project, highlighting JGM's commitment to promoting energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly solutions.

Further, the project stipulated the replacement of the existing signages with new ones, as per the specifications outlined in the tender. JGM met these requirements with precision, demonstrating their ability to deliver tailored solutions that perfectly align with client requirements and branding guidelines. This step was instrumental in ensuring a consistent and refreshed brand image across all the sites.

Fabrication and Precision Installation of Signages

Beyond the original scope, JGM also undertook the fabrication and installation of some signages on the existing foundation, following the provided internal design and specifications. This task demanded a high level of precision, technical knowledge, and craftsmanship, all of which JGM exhibited with aplomb. The newly fabricated signages were installed seamlessly, enhancing the visual appeal and the brand visibility of the ENOC sites.

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
