Joseph General Maintenance's Sustainable Transformation for Etihad ESCO Project at ENOC

This case study showcases our role in the Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab project, a testament to our team's capabilities in scaling our services and accommodating diverse BIM needs. Starting with a small drywall package, we gradually expanded our scope, providing BIM modeling services for a multitude of elements including architecture, structure, interior design, and joinery for both the main contractor and multiple subcontractors.

Introduction

Joseph General Maintenance, renowned for its world-class maintenance and retrofit solutions, embarked on an impactful project for the Etihad Energy Services Company (Etihad ESCO) that began on February 1, 2023, and concluded on May 5, 2023. This project not only highlighted the company's technical expertise but also its commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency.

Project Overview and Scope

The project's scope was broad and ambitious, encompassing ten ENOC sites, each with unique requirements. The sites included ENOC 1066, 1005, 1028, 1050, 1073, 1086, 1012, 1080, 1025, and 1049. The transformation of these sites provided a platform for Joseph General Maintenance to showcase its comprehensive technical skills, as well as its dedication to sustainable energy solutions.

Revamping Signages with Energy-Efficient Lighting

One of the critical aspects of the project involved a significant upgrade of various signages across the sites. The Canopy Flex Fascia, Pylon Sign, C-Store, Pelmet Fascia, Car Wash Sign, Spreader Sign, Entry Sign, ProWash Site Offer Sign, Site Offer Sign, and Zoom Sign underwent a substantial revamp. The retrofit process involved the removal of the existing tube lights and installation of new back panels equipped with AGI Light LEDs. These LEDs are renowned for their energy efficiency, offering similar or superior illumination compared to traditional lighting, but with a significantly lower energy consumption footprint. This shift to sustainable lighting solutions marked a significant step towards environmental conservation and energy efficiency.

Rigorous Reporting and Quality Control

In addition to these reports, the team also conducted a Meggar test at each site upon completion. This insulation testing procedure is critical to identify potential electrical issues, thereby ensuring safety and enhancing the longevity of the installations. The results of these tests were compiled in a comprehensive Meggar report, thus providing additional safety assurance to the client.
